In this particular case you must see a lawyer immediately because you have only 90 days to file what we call a notice of claim. Any city entity, city of New York, a city bus, a police car, fire truck, any type of city-owned vehicle, they have 90 days under a statute. So if you don’t file that notice of claim you lose your right to sue them.
