You should tell the doctor what happened. “I tripped and fell on the sidewalk. I tripped on a crack. I tripped in a hole.” You must tell them what happened because they will write it in a report. If you say, “I fell in the street,” when you fell on the sidewalk, and you write down you fell in the street, your lawyer is going to have quite a fight there because the other side’s going say, “Oh, he fell in the street. He didn’t fall in the sidewalk.” It’s very important what you say to the doctors.
